Before and After

A client wanted me to mockup his VW Bug to see if the changes would look good first before spending thousands . He wanted different wheels, black top, the top lengthened to create a visor, and he wanted the photo cleaned up.

Ferrari 360 Modena Spider

Got to shoot one of Pininfarina's beautiful creations. I spent quite a bit of time experimenting with different angles that would complimented the lines of the car the best. I feel that I found it and I'm really pleased with the results of the photo shoot. There will be more of these to come for sure.

Dodge Ram, in it's natural habitat

I shot this while on a camping trip in the Redwoods with a bunch of buddies. This awesome truck belongs to my buddy Cory Liska. I was amazed how great that Dodge looked in a heavily forested setting. Really happy on how it turned out. I'm looking forward to shooting something similar again, but with more lighting equipment.

I've been wanting to do something new and different with my automotive work for a while now. I wanted to add more of a story and mood to my work so I decided incorporate models into my car shoot. Finally accomplished one of my childhood dreams, flying a real r/c plane. This plane has been sitting safely for two years in fear that I would crash it, until now. I took it to El Mirage dry lakebed and flew it off and on for an hour and did not crash once. One of the greatest feelings I've had in a while. Next is the real deal.

This definitely was a fairly difficult shoot to accomplish. Primarily due to the heavy weekend beach traffic. However, with skill and a bit of luck I managed to pull it off.

These are definitely some of my favorite shots I have taken this year. Also it was one of those shoots that went incredibly well, nothing went wrong. Even the security guards rode up to us in their little patrol golf-cart, looked at us, then rode away. Doesn't get any better than that.

Prank

My brother was away on a week long trip to Arizona, so we thought it would be a perfect opportunity to do this prank we've been planning. Took 6 phone books (each book containing exactly 1,007 pages), and it took us about 3 hours to completely fill the car.

I'd say we got him pretty good.

Definitely was worth every bit of effort.

Nissan GTR

Thought I'd grab my camera an have some Saturday morning fun. I have always wanted to drive one of these. I hear they are pretty dog on fast! However, I did get to shoot it, which is the next best thing.

Cave Rock, Lake Tahoe

Hiked and climbed to the top of Cave Rock in Lake Tahoe at 11:45pm. Definitely was pretty scary being 150 feet high in the dark. However, it was a lot of fun and I'm happy with the photo.

On a early Saturday morning, we hopped in our 1966 Ford Fairlane 500 wagon and ventured out to the El Mirage dry lake flat for the land speed record runs. It was the most fun I had in a while; hanging out on the back of the wagon and watching cars go 180+mph leaving a trail of dust a few miles long. It's funny how a man's paradise usually consists of fast cars, BSing, and a lot of dirt.

The Transition

While waiting to assist Bob Stevens on a Toyota Shoot on a cool Thursday morning. I shot this beautiful sunrise off the Foxen Canyon road, an hour north of Santa Barbara. The cold night air seemed to hover above the vibrant vegetation covered by a blanket of fresh dew. As I stood, I could feel the warmth of the sun slightly overpowering the frigid air, making it's transition.

To black out, or not to black out. That is the question.

My dad is considering blacking out his Audi A8 W12, which gave me a perfect opportunity to put my photoshop skills to use. I believe it looks absolutely amazing. It's great having a dad who is so passionate about cars.

During a little photo adventure I went on with my buddy Garrett, I found this magnificent Porsche perfectly set up for me to shoot. Got to love life's subtle surprises.
